Policeman shoots himself in Jalandhar
Jalandhar, Jun 2 (UNI): A Punjab Police sub-inspector posted at the CIA wing of the district rural police shot himself to death, police said on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Vipan Kumar, an SI with the CIA staff of the district rural police here.
According to additional deputy commissioner of police Parminder Singh Bhandal, the official took the extreme step using his service revolver while sitting in his car outside his house in Model Town.
The cause of the suicide was yet be ascertained, he added.
