Police rush to Delhi's Kerala House on complaint of beef being served
New Delhi, Oct 27 (IBNS) The Kerala House has decided to remove buffalo meat from its menu after the Delhi Police went for a search in the state guest house following a complaint that beef was being served in its canteen.
The police said they responded immediately to the complaint to prevent any "untoward incident". The caller had claimed to be from a fringe right-wing group.
The police team remained at the Kerala House for several hours and spoke to the staff, who said that only buffalo meat is served as "beef", which is not illegal.
Cow meat is banned in the entire Delhi-NCR region.
The complaint was reportedly made by an activist of the Hindu Sena.
