Police receive hoax bomb call in Barauni-Gwalior Express train

Panic gripped the passengers after a hoax call regarding a bomb being planted inside the Barauni-Gwalior Express was received by the police in Barabanki on Sunday.

Additional Superintendent of Police (North) Chiranjivi Nath said a call was received at around 9.32 AM that there was a bomb in Barauni-Gwalior Express.

Soon after the call was received police force along with fire tenders, a dog squad, and a bomb disposal squad immediately reached the railway station.

He said the dog squad and bomb disposal squad thoroughly checked all the coaches of the train, but nothing was found.

He said the Government Railway Police (GRP) and Railway Protection Force (RPF) also checked the entire station premises.

Station Superintendent Piyush Kumar Verma said the train left for its destination after a delay of around 50 minutes.
