PM offers floral tributes to Bal Gangadhar Tilak

New Delhi, July 23 (IBNS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday offered floral tributes to Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak, on his birth anniversary, in Central Hall of Parliament.

Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan, Union Minister for External Affairs and Overseas Indian Affairs Sushma Swaraj, Union Minister for Urban Development, Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation and Parliamentary Affairs M. Venkaiah Naidu, the Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting (Independent Charge), Environment, Forest and Climate Change (Independent Charge) and Parliamentary Affairs Prakash Javadekar, L.K. Advani, and other dignitaries were also present at the venue.

"On Bal Gangadhar Tilak`s birth anniversary, we salute the great freedom fighter who ignited the spark of patriotism with a call for `Swaraj`," the Prime Minister said.
