PM Modi visits Memorial for Indian WWI soldiers

Paris, Apr 11 (IBNS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday paid homage to the martyred Indian soldiers who fought in World War I while visiting the memorial in France.

"Paying homage to the Indian soldiers," PMO India tweeted.

Modi also wrote the visitors book at the venue.

Modi tweeted: "At Neuve-Chapelle Memorial, remembered the courage & sacrifice of Indian soldiers martyred in World."

On Modi's visit to the Memorial, MEA spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin tweeted: "Remembering the services of the brave. PM @narendramodi at the Neuve Chapelle Memorial for Indian soldiers."

"PM @ Narendra Modi's gifts replica of Garhwal WWI Memorial during visit to Neuve Chapelle Memorial in France," he said.
