Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday visited his Lok Sabha constituency Varanasi and offered prayers at the sacred Kashi Vishwanath Temple.

After the visit, Modi shared glimpses on X, saying he prayed for happiness, prosperity, and good health for all citizens.

“Har Har Mahadev! I was fortunate to have darshan and perform pooja at Baba Vishwanath Temple in Kashi. Here, I prayed to Lord Bholenath for happiness, prosperity, and a healthy life for all citizens of the country,” he wrote.

He further added that the darshan of Maa Annapurna and Maa Ganga brought him immense peace.

“The darshan of Maa Annapurna and Maa Ganga brought immense peace. May their grace infuse positive energy in everyone! Salutations once again to the people of Kashi,” Modi said.

The visit was part of his two-day tour to Uttar Pradesh on April 28 and 29.

During the trip, Modi also inaugurated the Ganga Expressway in Hardoi, shortly after his temple visit in Varanasi.
