Washington DC: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to meet billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk at the White House today, ahead of his bilateral talks with US President Donald Trump.

The prime minister arrived in Washington DC on Wednesday night for a two-day visit at Trump’s invitation.

Upon landing, he was welcomed at the airport by India’s Ambassador to the US, Vinay Mohan Kwatra, and other officials.

PM Modi and Musk have met multiple times before, including during the prime minister’s 2015 visit to San Jose, where the Tesla CEO personally gave him a tour of the company’s facility.

Before his scheduled meetings, PM Modi held discussions with US Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard in Washington, DC, on Wednesday (local time).

They spoke about various aspects of India-US relations.

"Met USA's Director of National Intelligence, @TulsiGabbard in Washington DC. Congratulated her on her confirmation. Discussed various aspects of the India-USA friendship, of which she's always been a strong votary," PM Modi shared on X.

After arriving at Blair House, he was greeted by members of the Indian diaspora, who welcomed him with chants of "Bharat Mata Ki Jai" and "Modi Modi."

PM Modi expressed his gratitude for their warm reception.

This marks PM Modi’s first visit to the US since Donald Trump assumed office for a second term.
