PM Modi to inaugurate UAE's first Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi today

New Delhi/IBNS: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Wednesday inaugurate the United Arab Emirates' first Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi on the second day of his two-day visit to the country.

The invitation was extended to the Prime Minister by BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha's representatives Pujya Swami Ishwarcharandas and Swami Brahmaviharidas along with a board of directors.

Reportedly, the particular Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi will be the largest.

Reacting to the Hindu temple, the Prime Minister, as claimed by  BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, had earlier said it will reflect the "ideal of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam".

The statement read, "It will reflect the ideal of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam - an ideal spiritual space, not merely rooted in beliefs and traditions, but a confluence of diverse cultures and civilizations.

"The essence of spiritual harmony, symbolizing the path forward."

Modi, UAE president Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan review bilateral partnership

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Tuesday held delegation-level talks when they reviewed the bilateral partnership and discussed new areas of cooperation.

In a special and warm gesture, Modi was received at the airport by the President of the UAE Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and thereafter, accorded a ceremonial welcome.

During the meeting, the two leaders welcomed deepening of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership across sectors, including trade and investment, digital infrastructure, fintech, energy, infrastructure, culture and people to people ties.

"Discussions also covered regional and global issues," read the statement issued by the Indian government.
