PM Modi to hold meeting with CMs over rise in Covid-19 cases today

New Delhi/IBNS: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Wednesday hold a meeting with the Chief Ministers of all states and union territories over the rise in Covid-19 cases.

Modi will hold the meeting with the CMs virtually.

India witnessed the highest daily spike of Covid-19 cases in recent times as the country recorded 28,903 fresh infections in the past 24 hours, as per Ministry of Health released data on Wednesday.

During the same period, 188 deaths have been recorded.

The total death toll due to the disease now stands at 1,59,044.

There are 2,34,406 active cases in the country at present.

So far,  1,10,45,284 people have recovered from the disease.
