PM Modi prays at Kerala's Guruvayur Temple

Guruvayur, Jun 8 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi prayed at Kerala's Guruvayur Temple during his state visit on Saturday.

Modi tweeted, "The Guruvayur Temple is divine and magnificent. Prayed at this iconic Temple for the progress and prosperity of India."

Modi reached here on Friday night on a two-day visit to Kerala.

The Prime Minister, who stayed at the Government Guest House last night, left for Guruvayur by an helicopter at 8:55 am from the Navy Airport.

On Friday, the Prime Minister who landed at 11:45 pm was received at the Airport by Kerala Governor Justice (Retd) P Sathasivam, Union Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan, Kerala Devaswom Minister Kadakampally Surendran, actor-turned politician Suresh Gopi, Mayor Saumini Jain and among others.

Modi will also participate in a public meeting at Sree Krishna Higher Secondary School at Guruvayur town later in the day.

This is the maiden visit to Kerala by the Prime Minister after assuming office for the second time.
