PM Modi pays homage to martyrs of the 2001 Parliament attack

New Delhi/IBNS: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday paid homage to those martyred in the 2001 Parliament attack.

In a post on X, he wrote, "Paid homage to those martyred in the 2001 Parliament attack. Their sacrifice will forever inspire our nation. We remain eternally grateful for their courage and dedication."

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh wrote on X, " I pay homage to those who sacrificed their lives during the 2001 Parliament attack. We will never forget their courage, bravery and supreme sacrifice."

On December 13, 2001, terrorists of the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed outfits attacked the Parliament complex, killing nine people.

All five terrorists were gunned down by the security forces.
