PM Modi arrives at The White House for state dinner, guest list includes Mukesh Ambani, Anand Mahindra

Washington DC/IBNS: After a historic address to the joint session of the US Congress, Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at The White House on Thursday for the prestigious state dinner.

Industrialists Mukesh Ambani and Anand Mahindra are among the guests attending the state dinner hosted by US President Joe Biden in PM Modi's honour at the White House.

Prominent Indian-origin industry executives, Sundar Pichai, Satya Nadella, and Indra Nooyi, besides Apple CEO Tim Cook, are also on the guest list.

Foreign Minister S Jaishankar, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, and Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra, are accompanying PM Modi to the dinner as Indian government representatives.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken, US Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and US Envoy to India Eric Garcetti will also be there.

Indian-origin US representatives Ro Khanna and Raja Krishnamoorthi, Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath and famous fashion designer Ralph Lauren are among the other guests expected at the state dinner.

US First Lady Jill Biden worked with guest chef Nina Curtis and other White House chefs to prepare the menu for the state dinner.

The menu includes lemon-dill yogurt sauce, crisped millet cakes, summer squashes, marinated millet and grilled corn kernel salad, compressed watermelon, tangy avocado sauce, stuffed portobello mushrooms, creamy saffron-infused risotto, rose and cardamom-infused strawberry shortcake.
