Pictures of Lord Jagannath’s secret rituals uploaded on Facebook

Puri, July 29 (UNI): Devotees were shocked to see pictures of secret religious rituals, only observed in the Sri Jagannath temple, uploaded on Facebook by an user named Kausik.

The rituals included "Abakash" and "Mailum".

A particular section of temple servitors perform these services and one of them might have taken pictures of the same and handed them out to someone.

Some of these servitors had been performing these secret services outside the temple and in private houses.

Devotees have demanded a thorough probe and stringent legal steps against the culprits.
