Islamabad, Apr 2 (IBNS): Pakistan on Wednesday offered to provide 'possible assistance' to people in flood-hit Kashmir in India.

A statement issued by Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said: "We are deeply saddened over the loss of life and damage to property caused by the landslides and flash floods across the Line of Control. It is indeed a great tragedy that has befallen on our Kashmiri brethren particularly as they were still recovering from the devastation of last year’s catastrophe."

"Our thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families. The entire Pakistani nation stands by our Kashmiri brothers and sisters and is ready to extend every possible assistance in their hour of need," it said.
