Pak violates truce twice in a day on LoC, India retaliates

Jammu/UNI: The Pakistan Army on Monday violated the ceasefire agreement twice in a day along the Line of Control in Rajouri and Poonch districts.

Hours after Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing of small arms and shelling with mortars in Sunderbani Sector of District Rajouri, the truce was also violated in Poonch district.

“Pakistan at about 2015 hours initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing small arms and intense shelling with mortars along the LoC in Shahpur, Kerni sectors of Poonch,” defence spokesman here said.

He added that Indian Army befittingly retaliated to the cross border firing.

Earlier on Sunday, Pakistan violated the truce agreement by firing unprovoked along the Line of Control in Poonch district.

On Nov 13, Pakistan violated the Ceasefire in Keri Sector of Rajouri.

On Nov 8, one Army jawan attained martyrdom when Pakistan violated the ceasefire by firing unprovoked in Poonch district.
