New Delhi/Islamabad, June 3 (IBNS): Sparking more tension between India and Pakistan, the later's Army has claimed that the Islamic country and Kashmir are inseparable.

The Pakistani Army on Wednesday said that Kashmir issue should be resolved according to the United Nations resolutions.

Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Major General Asim Saleem Bajwa quoting Army chief General Raheel Sharif tweeted: "Kashmir is an unfinished agenda of partition,Pak &Kashmir are inseparable. While we wish peace, stability in region,we want Kashmir's Just Resolution in the light of UN resolutions & as per aspirations of Kashmiris to bring lasting peace in region."

This comes amid repeated cases of ceasefire violation along the Line of Control.

During an encounter which took place for over 24 hours on Monday, Pakistani troops had violated the ceasefire by firing automatic weapons and rocket projectile grenades on forward posts along the LoC in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
