Odisha: One held for threatening to make nude picture of a woman viral in social media

Kendrapara/UNI: Rajnagar police arrested one Khirod Jena of Bhuinpur village for blackmailing a woman and her husband by circulating nude photo of woman in social media.

The accused had threatened the husband of the victim woman to make her nude photo viral on social media if he did not send his wife to him, IIC of Rajnagar police station Tapan Kumar Nayak said.


The Rajnagar police registered a case under Sections 506, 507, 417 of IPC; 65,67,67(A) IT Act after the victim woman’s husband lodged an FIR with the police.


The police arrested the accused and produced him before the JMFC court which remanded him into jail custody .
