Now Mamata Banerjee is visiting temples: Yogi Adityanath taunts Trinamool Congress chief in Bengal

Kolkata/IBNS: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday taunted his West Bengal counterpart Mamata Banerjee over her temple visits ahead of the state polls due to be held between Mar 27 and Apr 29.

"Now Mamata di and Rahul Gandhi are also visiting temples. This is our (BJP) achievement," said Yogi at a rally of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Balarampur.

Yogi made the comment as Mamata visited a number of temples in her last visit to Nandigram from where she is contesting her elections this year.

Taking a dig at Mamata's reaction to the "Jai Shree Ram" slogan, Yogi said, "I get stunned to see Mamata Didi getting angry over Jai Shree Ram slogan but here I am greeted by the slogan."

Yogi, who is also the BJP's firebrand Hindutva leader, said the Trinamool Congress government will no longer be in power after elections.

"... Only 45 days are left. After 2nd May, Trinamool's exit is certain," he said.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, a gamechanger for his saffron party, on Sunday once again reiterated that the BJP will win over 200 seats in the upcoming polls, dashing Mamata's hope to return to power.

Under Shah, the BJP has swept all major regions of the country and West Bengal is undoubtedly the last frontier to be conquered leaving aside south India.
