'Not stuck with NDA with Fevicol': Hanuman Beniwal quits alliance

New Delhi/IBNS: NDA ally Rajasthan’s Rashtriya Loktantric Party (RLP) on Saturday left the alliance harping on its pro-farmer stance, becoming the second party to leave after Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD).

Addressing a rally in Shahjahanpur in Rajasthan's Alwar, RLP chief Hanuman Prasad Beniwal said he was ditching the alliance as nothing was above the pride of farmers.

“Bye-bye. We are quitting NDA. Nothing is above the pride of farmers in the country," Beniwal said, reported Hindustan Times.

Rajasthan BJP spokesperson Mukesh Pareekh said BJP had left the parliamentary seat from Nagaur for Beniwal and ensured his win in the election. He had supported the farm laws earlier but now he left the alliance just to gain political mileage, he accused.

Beniwal said he was not stuck with NDA with Fevicol apparently indicating that he was not inseparable with the saffron party.

The regional leader had given a call to lakhs of farmers to move towards Delhi against the newly-formed farm laws.

He even claimed that he was prevented from entering the parliament on the pretext of a "fudged" Covid report otherwise he would have thrown away the copies of the farm bill.

He had led agitations from Nagaur, Jaipur, Barmer, Jodhpur and other parts to Kotputli on the way to Shahjahanpur after declaring earlier that he will lead the farmers to Delhi in opposition to the three farm laws introduced by the Centre.
