Northern Command celebrates Army Day

Udhampur, Jan 15 (IBNS) The Indian Army celebrated the 67th Army Day all across the Northern Command on Thursday.

In his message Lt Gen D S Hooda, GOC -in- C (Army Commander), Northern Command extended his heartiest greetings and good wishes to all ranks, veterans, civilian employees and their families. 

He commended the service personnel for their unflinching devotion and dedication and exhorted all ranks for their pro-active response to the challenges of the recent floods in the state with utmost alacrity and spontaneity and urged everyone in the Northern Command to rededicate themselves to the cause of the Nation. 

As a tradition practiced on this day, a large number of service personnel were also awarded by the Army Commander for their bravery and distinguished service.
