‘No chair November’? BJP’s AI video takes a dig at Karnataka Congress power tussle
Amid simmering speculation over a possible leadership change in Karnataka, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday released a satirical AI-generated video mocking the ruling Congress government and the reported rivalry between Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and his deputy DK Shivakumar.
The 26-minute-long clip, shared by the BJP on X, features caricatures of Rahul Gandhi, Siddaramaiah, and Shivakumar in a humorous exchange.
The video shows Gandhi and Siddaramaiah sending a WhatsApp message to Shivakumar with a “scratch card” reward. When Shivakumar scratches it open, he discovers the message: “No Chair November.”

As a stunned Shivakumar looks on, the animated Gandhi and Siddaramaiah burst into laughter, followed by a dancing Husky, closing the segment.
“It is ‘No Chair November’ for @DKShivakumar,” the BJP captioned the post, tagging it with hashtags #CongressFailsKarnataka and #CMChairFight.
The video comes amid ongoing buzz within Karnataka’s political circles over an alleged “power-sharing deal” between Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar after the Congress’s victory in May 2023.
Reports had suggested a rotational chief ministership formula, under which Shivakumar might take over midway through the government’s term, though the Congress has never confirmed such an agreement.
Recently, Shivakumar dismissed talk of an imminent “November revolution,” clarifying, “There will be no November revolution. The only revolution will be in 2028, when Congress returns to power.”
He added that he was a “disciplined soldier” of the party and would abide by the leadership’s decision.
Siddaramaiah, meanwhile, asserted that he intends to serve the full five-year term, subject to the Congress high command’s direction.
The BJP’s creative use of AI satire highlights how political parties are increasingly turning to digital humour and meme culture to score points online.
