Nitish announces Rs 2 lakh compensation for kins of Bihari labourers killed in Andhra Pradesh boiler blast

Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday expressed deep shock over the death of Bihari labourers killed in a boiler blast in Andhra Pradesh and announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakhs each for family members of those killed in the incident.

The Chief Minister also announced a compensation of Rs 50,000 for the injured members of those injured in the incident and wished them early recovery.

Kumar directed the Resident Commissioner in New Delhi to coordinate with officials of Andhra Pradesh and make proper arrangements for the treatment of the deceased.

He also directed the Commissioner to make arrangements for bringing back the bodies of the deceased labourers to Bihar.

Six people were killed and several others were injured on Wednesday night in the boiler blast in Porus Laboratories Private Limited at Akkireddygudem in Eluru district of Andhra Pradesh.
