Nine-year-old girl in Andhra dies after punishment for not doing homework

Karimnagar, Andhra Pradesh, Jul 23 (IBNS) In a shocking incident, a 9-year-old school girl died on Thursday a day after she received punishment for not doing her homework.
Reports said an irate mob, including members of the girl's family, ransacked the school after the incident. 
 
No official complaint has been registered in the case so far.

The incident took place at a school in Karimnagar in Andhra Pradesh. 
 
The child was made to kneel down for several hours on the July 16 by a teacher for not doing her homework.

It is said that she  collapsed after developing a blood clot which affected her circulation.
 
 She succumbed to her injuries on Thursday morning.
