New WB Guv Keshari Nath Tripathi to take oath today

Kolkata, July 24 (IBNS): West Bengal Governor-designate Keshari Nath Tripathi is set to take oath as the state’s new constitutional head on Thursday. Tripathi arrived in Kolkata from Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday.

He was received by state finance and industry minister Amit Mitra and education minister Partha Chatterjee at the Howrah station. The Governor-designate was also given a guard of honour there at the station area by the state police as well.

Official sources said the oath-taking ceremony would be held at 1.30 pm at the Raj Bhavan.

On arrival, Tripathy was given a floral welcome by the Raj Bhavan staff and a guard on honour too.
