New Farakka Express train derails near Harchandpur railway station in Uttar Pradesh, 5 die

Harchandpur, Oct 10 (IBNS): At least five people are feared dead as six coaches of New Farakka Express derailed 50 m from Harchandpur railway station in Raebareli area of  Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday.

National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team has left for the spot.

"#NDRF Team left to near Harchandpur Rly Station, Raibareilly, UP in connection with 01 Train derailment train No.14003, New Farakka Express," tweeted the force.

The incident has left several people injured.

The cause of the derailment is still not known.

UP CM Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to reach the spot.

More details are awaited.
