New Delhi hosts World Military Dental Conference

New Delhi, Sept 9 (IBNS) World Military Dental Conference 2014 is being hosted by the Army Dental Corps; Indian Army, at the Manekshaw Convention Centre here from Tuesday.

The conference will continue till Thursday.

Military Dental professionals from around 20 countries are attending the conference.

"62 international delegates, 150 national delegates, and Army Dental Corps veterans shall be participating in the various proceedings of the three day event. The conference was inaugurated by Director General Armed Forced Medical Services (DGAFMS) Air Marshall DP Joshi. A special day cover was also released, commemorating the International Military Conference. In addition Lt Gen Gurmit Singh, Adjutant General, Hony Brig Padma Bhushan & Padma Shree Dr Anil Kohli and Dr Padma Shree Mahesh Verma; President, Indian Dental Association and other dignitaries attended inaugural function," read a government statement.

The conference is focusing on issues of common concern for all Armed Forces Dental Services relating to combat dental support, treatment and rehabilitation of maxillofacial trauma and forensic dental records for combatants.
