NCP lashes out at Union Health Min Harsh Vardhan over ‘COVID politics’

| @indiablooms | Apr 08, 2021, at 09:12 pm

Mumbai, Apr 8 (UNI) NCP chief spokesperson Mahesh Bharat Tapase on Thursday said that Union Health Minister Harshvardhan needs to be reminded that Maharashtra tops the chart in the country as far as vaccination drive is concerned and this is purely due to the efforts taken by Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope and his team.

“We are proactive on testing, tracing, isolating and vaccinating,” he asserted.

Mr Tapase stated, “It was expected that Harsh Vardhan will positively respond to the call of Mr Tope. It is the BJP policy to use cheap media tricks to divert attention from core issues.”

“It is the Modi government at the center which has a lackadaisical approach towards Maharashtra only because BJP could not form a government here,” he remarked.

He said, “The data regarding number of doses received and the number of doses administered is available if at all Harshvardhan would like to see.”

“Some BJP leaders of Maharashtra, who are opposing the state’s initiative 'Break The Chain', need to be reminded that Gujarat High Court had to tell Gujarat government to implement lockdown as they are unable to check the spread of Covid 19,” he added.
