Islamabad, May 28 (IBNS) As Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif returned to his country after attending Narendra Modi's oath-taking ceremony in New Delhi, his daughter Maryam Nawaz Sharif thanked the Indian PM for the gift he sent for her grandmother.
"Thank u v much PM @narendramodi for the beautiful shawl for my grandmother. My father personally delivered it to her," tweeted Maryam.
She even posted a photo of the shawl on micro-blogging site Twitter.
Modi on Tuesday met Sharif at Hyderabad House in New Delhi and expressed India's concern over the slow progress of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack trial in that country even as the Pakistan PM said the two nations should overcome mistrust and move forward by cooperation since both the leaders have got clear mandates in their respective countries.
While India said its concerns on terrorism from Pakistan soil was conveyed, Sharif told reporters by reading out a statement: "I had pointed out that we both were in the beginning of a clear mandate from our respective nations. This provides an opportunity to fulfil the hopes of 1.5 billion people of the two countries who want us to focus on people and welfare. We had talks in warm and cordial atmosphere."
The two leaders agreed that the foreign secretaries of two neighbours would meet and take forward talks.
