Nashik, Mar 15 (UNI/IBNS): A toddler has died in a leopard attack at Parmori Shivar of Dindori taluka in this Maharashtra district, police said on Friday.

According to Dindori police, the incident took place at around 1730 hrs on Thursday, when three-year-old Gayatri was playing in a sugarcane field, where her father Prakash Gangurde was working.

A leopard, who was hiding nearby, pounced on the girl and dragged her away. Her body was found in another sugarcane field later by local villagers, who rushed to the spot, on hearing the news.

Dindori police said the field belongs to one Sahebrao Shivle of Parmor Shivar.
