New Delhi, May 17 (UNI): Barely a week before the Lok Sabha poll results are declared, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu has stepped up his efforts to stitch together an alliance against Narendra Modi-led BJP to form the next government.

Naidu, who is visiting in Delhi, met Delhi Chief Minister and AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal, CPI(M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury on Friday, and will be meeting Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Saturday.

Naidu is also expected to visit Lucknow for a meeting with BSP chief Mayawati and SP president Akhilesh Yadav.

"All are welcome. Not only Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), but whoever positioned against BJP is welcome to the grand alliance after the poll results are declared", Mr Naidu said as a response to a question.

According to sources, UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi has already invited UPA partners and several non-NDA parties for a meeting on May 23, the day counting will be held.

Earlier in the day, Naidu met the Election Commission and reiterated demands by the opposition parties on various issues including counting of 50 per cent of VVPAT along with EVMs.

Taking on the Commission, Naidu said that the poll body's "decisions are very controversial, one sided, they are pro-establishment, pro-government".

"The Commission is supporting the Government during the entire election period, it is very unfortunate", he added.

Naidu also raised issues such as the Commission's decision to hold repoll in Chadragiri Assembly segment in Andhra Pradesh.

He alleged that the Commission was acting on the behest of YSRCP and they relieved West Bengal Home Secretary when he raised discrepancies in the conducting of polls.
