Mumbai crime: Two unidentified bodies recovered off Juhu, Versova beaches

Mumbai, Jun 18 (UNI) Two unidentified bodies were retrieved from the Arabian Sea off the Juhu and Versova beaches here on Tuesday, an official said.

In the first incident, around 0800 hrs, the beach lifeguards deployed at the Juhu Beach, noticed a body afloat in the water near the Godrej Bungalow. They retrieved the body and handed it over to the local police, who shifted it to a nearby hospital.

 

In the second incident, around 1045 hrs, beach cleaning personnel noticed a female body floating in the waters off Versova Beach near the Nana Nani Park and informed the fire brigade.


After retrieving the cadaver, it was handed over to the local police.


An investigation is underway to determine if the duo incidents are of accidental drowning and whether both the deaths are inter-connected.
