| @indiablooms | Apr 18, 2023, at 06:14 pm

Kolkata/New Delhi/IBNS: Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Mukul Roy landed in Delhi hours after he was claimed to be "untraceable" by his son Subhrangshu Roy, media reports said.

Mukul Roy, who was spotted at the airport in a viral video, said he came to Delhi for some work.

"I came here for some work," Roy said.

When asked whether the reason was political, the Krishnanagar Uttar MLA said, "No, no. I came here for work. Can't I come to Delhi? I am an MLA."

The video has not been verified independently by IBNS.

Mukul Roy, who was once the number two person in the West Bengal ruling party TMC, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in 2017.

After the BJP faced defeat in the 2021 West Bengal assembly elections, Roy returned to the TMC.

After the demise of his wife Krishna Roy in 2021, Roy suffered dementia and underwent medical treatment.
