"Mother gives birth to a child. Teacher (guru) gives life (jeevan)," he said while interacting with students and teachers at a programme at Delhi's Manekshaw auditorium on Friday.

This is the second year that the PM is interacting with students on the occasion of Teachers Day, which celebrates the birthday of India's second President and scholar Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
