Monsoon arrives in Maharashtra ten days late
Mumbai, June 20 (IBNS): Ending the hot, humid summer monsoon finally arrived in the drought-hit Marathwada region on Monday, covering 90 per cent of Maharashtra, reports said.
According to the meteorological office, the onset of the much awaited monsoon came about ten days late.
On Sunday, parts of Mumbai received a good rainfall and the maximum and minimum temperatures dropped down to 31.2 degrees and 23.2 degrees, respectively.
