Modi's US tour: PM, US President Biden have 'great conversation' in White House

New Delhi/Washington/UNI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a “great conversation on several subjects” with US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden during a private engagement at the White House on Wednesday evening.

The PM in a tweet after the private talks, thanked his hosts for the evening.

“I thank @POTUS@JoeBiden and @FLOTUS @DrBiden for hosting me at the White House today. We had a great conversation on several subjects.”

MEA spokesperson Arindam Bagchi in a tweet said, "When friends meet! PM @narendramodi arrives at the @WhiteHouse for a private engagement with @POTUS @JoeBiden, @FLOTUS @DrBiden & family.

"An occasion for two leaders who share close bonds of friendship to cherish special moments together."

The meeting between the two leaders comes ahead of the bilateral talks to be held on Thursday between the two sides, and the formal State Dinner hosted by the US President and First Lady Jill Biden in honour of the PM.
