Modi to arrive Russia today to attend BRICS and SCO

Ufa, Russia, Jul 8 (IBNS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive Russia on Wednesday on a three-day visit to attend the BRICS and Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summits.

Modi is likely to meet on the sidelines of the main programmes his  Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif and Chinese President Xi Jinping.

Besides PM Modi and  Xi, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff and South African President Jacob Zuma are attedning the five-nation BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) summit.

At the SCO Summit, India is expected to be accorded full membership of the six-nation club of China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
