Modi stresses on governance, delivery and implementation

New Delhi, May 29 (IBNS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi has directed his ministers to focus on good governance, efficient delivery mechanism and implementation of projects by setting a 100 days' agenda for themselves, said Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu on Thursday.

Informing that the Lok Sabha will be convened from June 4 to June 11, Naidu said: "The PM stressed on three important aspects- the overall governance, that is the need of the hour besides efficient delivery system and implementation."

He said the PM also asked all ministers to set a time table for their next 100 days.  He, however, refused to comment on a ten-point agenda of Modi doing the rounds.

The PM said proposals which come from the states should not be kept pending and addressed on priority basis, informed Naidu.

He said the government of Modi will go by the federal spirit of the Constitution.

He said while senior Congress leader Kamal Nath will be pro-tem speaker, names of Arjun Charan Sethi, P A Sangma and Biren Singh were also referred to the President to be speakers when Nath cannot officiate.

On 4 and 5 June the swearing-in of the new members of the Lok Sabha would be conducted while the election of speaker would be on June 6.

After the weekend (June 7 and 8)  the President will address the House on June 9.

June 10 and 11 are for vote of thanks to the President and some urgent business, informed Naidu.

The Rajya Sabha will start on June 9 with a joint session.
