Modi-Nitish script NDA's colossal Bihar victory, Mahagathbandhan reduced to rubble
Patna/IBNS: The NDA- spearheaded by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar- registered a landslide victory shattering Tejashwi Yadav's RJD-led Mahagathbandhan in Bihar assembly elections, which went to polls earlier this month.
As per the current trend of the results which are being declared on Friday, the NDA's lead has breached the 200-mark in a spectacular victory in the state where Nitish Kumar is eyeing his 10th term.
Battling with people's migration to other states for jobs, economic distress, Bihar handed over a massive blow to Mahagathbandhan, which is leading in mere 30 odd seats as the opposition coalition, led by RJD and Congress, suffered a freefall of leads since the morning.
Chirag Paswan's LJPRV, one of the constituents in the NDA, bagged over 20 seats establishing a strong presence in the ruling coalition.
Within NDA, BJP has emerged as the single largest party again with around 90 seats, JD(U) closely following in with 79 seats, LJPRV 22 and HAM 5.
RJD bagged close to 30 seats while Congress, CPIML bagged four each and CPM 1.
In personal battles, Mahagathbandhan CM face Tejashwi Yadav is trailing from Raghopur in a picture that sums up Mahagathbandhan's sorry tale.
Singer-turned-politician Maithili Thakur, who fought on BJP's ticket, is leading from Alinagar on her poll debut.
In a dig at Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, BJP IT Cell head Amit Malviya wrote on X, "Rahul Gandhi! Another election, another defeat! If there were awards for electoral consistency, he’d sweep them all. At this rate, even setbacks must be wondering how he finds them so reliably."
