Meghalaya: Five people including four women vendors killed in road mishap

Shillong/IBNS: At least five people including four vegetable vendors were killed after a speedy truck hit them along the Shillong by-pass in Meghalaya on Saturday.

The incident took place at Thangshalai after the persons were hit by a speeding truck.

Four women, all vegetable vendors died on the spot, while the fifth, a male who was a pedestrian died on the way to hospital.

The deceased women vendors were identified as Balarihun Kharkongor (27), Gracefully Nongbri (23), Banteibha Bina (20) and Shantilang Nongbri (28).

The male, Korbarsing Kharduid (52), died on the way to the hospital.
