Masked men snatch DC Kishtwar PSO’s weapon in J&K

Jammu, Mar 8 (UNI): In a bizarre incident, the weapon of Private Security Officer of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana was snatched on Friday night in Kishtwar town of Jammu and Kashmir.

''Official weapon (AK-47) of DC Kishtwar’s PSO Daleep Kumar was snatched at around 2200 hours in very busy Shaheedi Mazar area of Kishtwar town by allegedly by masked militants,'' police sources here said.


They said that Senior Police officials rushed to the spot and the area was cordoned off.


However, a senior police officer confirmed the incident but reliable sources added that the masked men, held two persons hostage before snatching the rifle.
