Manipur police in action against illegal drugs

Imphal/IBNS: The Manipur police are continuing its operations against illegal drugs in the state.

Manipur IGP (intelligence) K Radhashyam said that the state police have recently destroyed about 20 acres of poppy in Lanva hill range of Churachandpur district.

"Manipur police will continue its operations to destroy poppy plants across the state. The state police have conducted a ground survey and taken satellite imageries of poppy plantation areas in different parts of the state," the Manipur IGP said.

The top Manipur cop further said that, war against drugs will be continued and no one will be spared who is involved with it.

"Manipur police will take necessary legal action against any person found violating ND & PS Act," K Radhashyam said.
