Mangaluru police arrest a rowdy sheetar

Mangaluru, Jul 9 (UNI) Police arrested a rowdy sheetar, wanted in connection with an attack on a Mango merchant, on suspicion of cattle theft, after firing on his leg, here today.

Police said here on Tuesday that the accused Bhuvith Raj, accused in several criminal cases, had allegedly attacked Ummar Farooq (32), a Mango merchant Kulashekhar Chowki area on Sunday for allegedly transporting cattle, which was later found out to be false.

The police who were looking out for Bhuvith Raj gathered information about him at a particular place and went to arrest him. When he attacked the team and tried to fled forcing the Police to open fire which stuck on his leg and he fell down.
