Man tries to assault Kanhaiya Kumar inside JNU campus
New Delhi, Mar 10 (IBNS): Claiming to teach a lesson to Kanhaiya Kumar, a man tried to assault the student leader at the prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in New Delhi.
The man wanted to punish Kanhaiya for "abusing the country, raising anti-India slogans."
According to reports, the man, who is not from the university, was escorted off campus by security.
Kanhaiya Kumar, a supporter of Left ideologies, was released recently from Tihar Jail after 23 days of imprisonment. After his release he delivered a fiery speech in the JNU campus targetting PM Modi and comparing him with Hitler.
He was booked on sedition charges, moments after anti-national slogans were reportedly heard inside the JNU campus.
