Man held for selling fake driving licences in Sopore

Baramulla/UNI: Jammu and Kashmir police arrested a person involved in preparing and later selling fake driving licences and Aadhaar Cards to people in Sopore in this north Kashmir town, a police spokesperson said on Friday evening.

He said Police Station Panzalla received several complaints from Rohama and Panzalla areas about the selling of fake driving licenses and Aadhaar cards in lieu of hefty amounts.

Police accompanied by Executive Magistrate Rohama raided a shop being run by Arif Hussain Wani resident of Rohama Rafiabad.

Police seized incriminating materials including printer, scanner, fake driving licences, Aadhaar Cards from the spot.

He has been arrested and shifted to a police station where he remains in custody.

A case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Panzalla.

Further investigation of the case was going on.
