New Delhi, Jan 12 (IBNS): A man, identified as Ramtez, was arrested two days after a woman was found brutalized and murdered in a park in south Delhi’s Vasant Kunj area, media reports said.

According to police sources, the man was known to the victim for several months. Ramtez was caught near the city’s border on Sunday evening. The woman’s mobile phone, salary and jewellery were found with Ramtez.

The body of the woman was found on Saturday morning in a semi-naked state with the hands and legs tied and bearing signs of torture.

Ramtez and the woman reportedly had a fight on Saturday evening when he was about to escort her home. Police said Ramtez allegedly raped and strangled her in a fit of rage.

The victim was about 40-years-old and she had three daughters, aged between 9 and 15.
