Mahua Moitra called me Bihari gunda, alleges BJP's Nishikant Dubey; TMC MP denies

New Delhi/IBNS: In an ugly political fight, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Nishikant Dubey has accused Trinamool Congress (TMC) parliamentarian Mahua Moitra of calling him "Bihari gunda".

Moitra has denied the accusation.

Dubey alleged that Moitra called him "Bihari gunda" during a meeting with the parliamentary group for IT.

"TMC is allergic to all the Hindi-speaking people. That's why they called me 'Bihari Gunda'. This is an attack on Bihar's pride. I have submitted all the facts to the Speaker. She (Mahua Moitra) should apologise," he said.

Refuting it, Moitra said the meeting did not happen and Dubey was absent above all.

Tagging her four colleagues including three from the Congress, Moitra tweeted, " Am a bit amused by charges of name-calling. IT mtng did not happen because NO quorum - members did not attend. How can I call someone a name who was not even present!! Check attendance sheet!"

The BJP leaders Wednesday boycotted the IT panel meeting, which is headed by Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, and refused to sign in the attendance sheet.

Dubey has moved a privilege motion against Tharoor seeking his removal as the panel chief.
