Maharashtra: Three TMC supervisors held in graft case

Thane/UNI: Three supervisors of the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) have been arrested for accepting a bribe from a bakery owner, the ACB said on Thursday.

The ACB said in a statement that alleged accused, Sanjay Magar (43), Bharat Soanwane (42) and Shahir Khengale (46) all the supervisors in the conservancy department demanded Rs 5,000 from a complainant for not taking action on him.

The aggrieved complainant informed ACB, they laid a trap and nabbed them while accepting a bribe o0n Wednesday.

An offence under section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act of 1988 (Revised 2018) was registered and further investigation was on, it added.
