Maharashtra reports over 60000 discharged COVID patients

Mumbai/UNI: Maharashtra reported 60,223 cured patients who were discharged from across the state on Sunday.

This the second consecutive day when the number cured patients were more than new positive patients in the state.

With this total number of recoveries goes up to 44,07,818 in the state, according to the state health bulletin.

While 48,401 new COVID-19 cases and 572 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours.

The fresh surge has taken the infections tally to 51,01,737 while the death toll to 75,809.

The recovery rate has now slightly goes up to 86.4 per cent due to more recoveries of patients . The fatality rate is 1.49 per cent.

The state has an active caseload of 6,15,783 patients, undergoing treatment at different Covid Care Centres and hospitals.
