Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray to visit Ayodhya tomorrow on completion of 100 days in power

Ayodhya/UNI: Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray will reach Ayodhya on a daylong visit on Saturday during which he will worship at the Ram Lalla temple at Ramjanambhoomi and Hanumangarhi to mark the completion of his government's 100 days in power.

Thackeray, accompanied by his wife and state minister son and other Shiv Sena leaders will reach the temple city by a special flight on March 7 morning and take the blessings of Ram Lalla, Shiv Sena officials said here.

Thackeray took the oath as Chief Minister of Maharashtra on November 28, 2019.

Hundred of Shiv Sainiks are also on their way to Ayodhya by a special train from Mumbai to accompany their leader while several MPs, legislators and Councillors will also reach the city by flight.

Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut had met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath recently to discuss the security and other facilities to be provided to the Maharastra CM and the Shiv Shainiks.

Raut has reached Ayodhya on Friday to review the arrangements.

The Mahrashtra Chief Minister and others dignitaries would reach Ayodhya at around 0900 hours on Saturday and first they would worship at the Ram Lalla temple and then go to the Hanumangarhi and other temples.

Thackeray would also attend the Saryu aarti on the banks of the river before leaving for Mumbai in evening.

After the Supreme Court gave its judgement on the Ram temple issue on November 9 last year, Thackeray had announced to visit Ayodhya.

But his strained relationship with BJP after the Maharashtra Assembly polls and formation of his government in alliance with NCP and Congress, had delayed his visit.

He had last visited Ayodhya on June 16, 2019 along with 18 party MPs after the win during the Lok Sabha polls.

A special train of 18 coaches with Shiv Sainiks would be reaching Ayodhya this evening. The train left for Ayodhya from Lokmanya Tilak Terminas(LTT) on Thursday afternoon.

The train will return to Mumbai on March 9.
