Jammu: Hours after shooting down a drone in the Rajbagh area of Kathua district on Sunday morning, Jammu and Kashmir police said magnetic bombs and UBGL grenades were recovered from the payload attached to the flying object.

The Jammu and Kashmir Police early morning on Sunday shot down a drone with payload attachment coming from Pakistan side in Rajbagh area of Kathua district in Jammu and Kashmir.

"Seven magnetic bombs and seven UBGL grenades recovered from payload attached with drone shot down in Rajbagh area of Kathua district on Sunday morning," Mukesh Singh, ADGP Jammu Zone said.

Singh said earlier on the basis of drone activity observed in the area of Talli Hariya Chak under Police Station Rajbagh in district Kathua, an early morning search party of police was being regularly sent in the general area.

"This morning, the search party observed a drone coming from the border side and fired at it," said Singh adding that the drone was shot down.
